Research

Every blog I write, every person I talk to, every time I do something myself, the research needs to be done, that’s the starting point of something great. Research your competitors, research what keywords they are using, how they have optimized their website, how much are they paying for marketing campaigns (like pay per click) and see what you can do better then them. The most important aspect for you to convert leads to sales.

Quality

Quality will always beat quantity, if you are offering quality products and you are not making many sales, think about ways to gather your users information to tern them into lead and then sales.

Deals

See what your competitors deals are and offer a deal yourself. You don’t have to get the price down much, but a 10% always looks nice on a price tag

Put a timing on a sale

People buy things that are on sale, but they will buy more if it has some timing included. So if it’s the 3 day offer they might go for sale the third day, or if it’s limited quantities type of offer them might go for it the first day.

Get the information

Have a landing page to collect their information, subscription or sign up form on your website. This way you will have tools to get back to them and try to convert them.

Follow up

Even if you make a sale, make a calendar even to call these people back and to check if everything is ok with your product, and or service. Make sure that you develop a long term relationship with the people that use your services or buy your goods.

Give away something free

For every 1000 visitor you can give away a product, discount or a service. This will keep users coming back for more. You can even give free ebook, advice and have people give you their personal information so that you can call them back and try to finish up the sale. Giving away free things will get you the data so that you can convert leads to sales later on.

Ask for sale

With sign up forms, give aways, and other tricks for you to collect personal information from your users, clients, leads, you can easily just ask them for a sale though email or  by calling them. If they don’t want to buy, you can ask them what would they spend the money on, or what you need to improve. This gives you a lot of data to improve and get more sales in the future.

To convert leads to sales takes time, data, research and sometimes even money, but if done right you will keep on converting your leads into sales more often, making you more money and giving you room for better marketing options.
